The hard part about giving your dog the medication that they need
Training: One way for you to ensure that your dog will be able to swallow their medication is if you have taught them to be eating any food that you give them when you give them the command of ‘eat’. There are actually some dog owners that have mastered this training of their dog that is why their dog will just consume their medication when given. However, such a training can be very much impossible when your dog needs to take some medication and you still have not taught it the best way to handle such a command.
Force: Your last resort of letting your dog take their medication will be forcing them to eat them but then, it is just that not practical. But then as an animal lover, doing this to your dog can be very traumatic on their part and also on your part and you will just lead them to become aggressive.
Letting them eat their medicine by tricking them
Food: If the dog that you have loves to consume their food fast, then you can simply put their medicine inside their food and they will not notice it at all. Nevertheless, there are some dogs that can tell that something is wrong with their food, if this is the case with yours, then you can always add a bit of gravy so that they will not taste that they are also eating their medication.
